Let Claude Use Your Real Chrome, Signed In, in Background Tabs
A free repo gives Claude Code your everyday Chrome, with your logins, in background tabs that never take your screen. What it does, the setup in about two minutes, the one-command goals, and the catches
Chrome Relay is a free, open-source (MIT) tool that lets Claude Code work inside your everyday Chrome, already signed in to your apps. It opens its tabs in the background, so nothing steals focus while you keep working.
Here's what it does, how to set it up, how to hand Claude a whole goal in one command, and the catches.
What it does
- Agent tabs open inactive, in a collapsed "Agents" tab group, in the Chrome you already use.
- Each agent only sees and controls the tabs it opened.
- One command carries out a whole goal and checks every step, so Claude doesn't need a model round trip per click.
- In the author's test, a 7-step form took 2.5 seconds, and 1.2 seconds when replayed from a saved flow.
