What this actually is
asgeirtj/system_prompts_leaks is a GitHub repository of leaked and extracted system prompts: the instructions a model is given before your first message ever reaches it. Verified 2026-08-09: 62,597 stars, 10,288 forks, CC0-1.0.
CC0 is not MIT. It is a public domain dedication. There are no licence terms, no attribution requirement and nothing to comply with. You can paste any of it anywhere.
It is 184 linked prompt files across 18 company sections. That is the whole product. There is no app.
Read this before you get your hopes up
- There is no installer, no CLI and no skill. Anyone telling you to run a magic command is describing something that does not exist. You clone a folder of markdown.
- Nobody has published a benchmark showing a cheap model matching a frontier model once it has the frontier model's system prompt. It is a reasonable thing to try. It is not a measured result, and you should test it on your own task before you believe it.
- A system prompt is written for a specific model with specific tools. Pasting Claude's into a small open model gives you Claude's instructions, not Claude's capabilities.

- That is it. Open the folder. Every prompt is a plain .md file you can read in any editor.
