Let Claude Tailor Your Resume to Every Job Without Inventing Anything
A free repo that builds a knowledge base from your own papers and projects, then writes a tailored resume and cover letter for each job post. What it does, the setup, the commands, and the catches
Claude Resume Kit is a free, open-source (MIT) set of Claude Code commands that writes a tailored resume, CV and cover letter for each job post. Instead of rewriting a pasted resume, it draws on a knowledge base you build once from your own papers, reports and projects.
Here's what it does, how to set it up, the commands, and the catches.
What it does
- Every achievement is tagged published, under review or internal, so the resume can't quietly upgrade your status.
- Verb rules stop overclaiming, for example turning "contributed to" into "developed".
- A corrections log keeps a fixed error from coming back.
- /critique has five reader personas, from an ATS bot to a technical reviewer, score the result on eight dimensions in a fresh context.
- Output is LaTeX that you compile on your own machine.
