github-triage: Let Claude Sort Your GitHub Backlog (Nothing Changes Until You Say Yes)
An open-source Claude Code skill from Trail of Bits that goes through every open issue and pull request in your repo, offers to merge the ready ones, closes the issues that are already fixed, and ranks what is left
github-triage is one skill in Trail of Bits' open-source skills repo for Claude Code (7,500+ stars across the repo). You run it with /github-triage inside a project, and it works through the repo's open pull requests and issues with the gh command line tool.
What it does (from the README)
- Pull requests first: passing bot PRs (like Dependabot) can be merged one at a time, in order, and PRs that are approved, green and mergeable get a merge prompt.
- Never-reviewed PRs: it can spawn a review agent per PR. Each review is saved to a local file and never posted to GitHub.
- Already-fixed issues: if a merged PR or a commit on the default branch resolved it, the issue is closed with a comment that cites the fix.
- Open PRs that would fix an issue get cross-linked with it, so nobody works the same thing twice.
- Everything left gets a priority (Critical, High, Medium, Low) and a size from XS to XXL. These stay on your machine and are never posted.
