Five Hyped AI Design Tools, Judged the Way a Client Would
The 5 most-hyped AI design tools, judged head-to-head the way a client would: is the output actually shippable, or does it just look good in a screenshot? Here is the full ranking, plus the prompt that makes the winner hand you something real.

Every one of these makes something that looks fine in a screenshot. The only question that matters is whether you can actually ship the output, or whether it is a demo you still have to rebuild. That is how I scored them, one to three stars, worst to best.
The full ranking
5th. Canva AI ★ Instant, and genuinely handy for a quick social graphic. The problem: everything it makes looks like everyone else's, because everyone starts from the same templates. Great for speed, wrong for anything that needs to feel like you.
4th. Uizard ★ Turns a text prompt into a real screen, which feels like magic for about ten seconds. Then you see the spacing, the alignment, and the placeholder copy, and you spend an hour cleaning it up. A starting point, not a finish line.
3rd. Framer ★★ Publishes a real, live site in one click, and it genuinely looks good. The catch: you are locked into Framer's platform and hosting. Great until you want to move it or hand it to a developer.
2nd. Figma ★★ What the pros actually use, and the AI is improving fast. But it still stops at a picture. Someone (you or a dev) still has to turn that picture into a working thing. Best design tool here, not the best ship-it-today tool.
1st. V0 ★★★ (the winner) Describe what you want and it hands you a real, good-looking design as working code you can actually ship. It is the only one on this list that deletes the now-build-it step entirely. That is why it wins.
