Atticus is a free, open-source (MIT) Mac app. You hold Control, Option and Space, say what you need, and let go. It moves your windows, finds your files, reads your screen and gets it done, using the Claude plan you already pay for.
Here's what it does, how to set it up, what it costs, and the catches.
What you can ask it
- "Code on my big screen, Chrome and Terminal on the laptop." It arranges the windows across both displays.
- "Find my notes about the Tokyo trip." It searches your files by what's inside them and opens the match.
- "What's wrong with this code?" It looks at your screen and answers in a line.
- "Reply to this. Thursday works, send me a time." It reads the email on screen and writes the reply. It never sends it.
- "Open Spotify." Simple asks like this skip the AI entirely and run in a blink.
