Check eligibility and billing first
- Current full-time, part-time and graduate students at eligible U.S. degree-granting institutions can qualify. SheerID verifies enrollment.
- New users and eligible existing monthly Plus subscribers billed directly by ChatGPT can claim it. Store-billed subscriptions are not supported while they remain billed through Apple or Google.
- Activation requires a valid payment method. The subscription renews at $20/month after the promotion unless canceled.
- Canceling early keeps access until the end of the current monthly period, then forfeits remaining promotional months. Review the live terms before confirming.
Claim it in the browser
- Open the official claim page and sign in to the intended ChatGPT account.
- Follow SheerID to verify enrollment. It may use school sign-in or request documents.
- Return to the offer flow and complete activation. Review payment and renewal information before confirming.
- Check your account to confirm the promotion applied. Contact OpenAI support if verification succeeded but the offer is missing.
